Vital statistics aside, hi! I like to go by Airi as my online alias for two reasons: 1) Tsunku didn't chose her for 7th generation, and 2) It's close to my real name. Typical run-of-the-mill Floridian girl with a natural love for the beach. What can I say? I don't live far from it. Most of my youth was spent in Florida, while childhood rests in the lower part of New York. I was raised in a traditional Filipino family in a traditional Filipino way of doing things, and like most of my pinoy peers, Tagalog was picked up pretty quickly. I'm a little bilingual in a sense, though I'm not very good at speaking in Tagalog, that's for sure! I can understand enough to translate and/or get the gist of something. I am an only child and often speak of my cousins as if they were my siblings -- they practically are my siblings.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit my 'real' hobbies outside of computers, drawing, graphic design, and everything else. I'm a little weird, but who isn't a little weird? While not fashion-savvy, I have an eye for designer handbags. I know it's sort of ludicrous to even consider buying a purse that's over $50, but the addction cannot be helped. Another thing I really like doing is decorating my cell phone with charms, stickers, and sticker rhinestones every so often. I own a lot of unused Sanrio and San-X themed stickers for future cell phone decoration♥ I also love to stick them on my Nintendo DS as well (currently on a mission to buy enough jewels to "make" a complete jeweled design on my black DS). Other hobbies include:

  • Reading the Japanese section at Borders (what little of it exists)
  • Watching shark documentaries on HD Discovery
  • Baking cakes through scratch
  • Hanging out at Panera
  • Serious fascination with nail art (recently)
  • Collecting sea shells on the beach (I live by it~!)
  • Fatal attraction to useless, cheap, cute trinkets

But that's all aside from what I like to do online, ahaha. While still very much in love with graphic design, I spend more time on the computer trying to improve with illustration and what's known as "CGing" and "blending" -- I still have a lot of Photoshop to learn. For this, I collect magazines like Photoshop Advanced (for blending purposes) and ImagineFX (for CGing tips and tricks). And yes, I am self-taught no matter how much my dad says it's in the genetics.

About me, in general, can be best extracted when sitting down and talking to me through IM or livejournal. I come off as a little overly energetic, but it's perfectly harmless. Contagiously happy, but overall harmless. ;D (On par with the word "genki", basically) Through personality, I can be leveled with Marui Bunta from Prince of Tennis. We have a similar wavelength :B


webdesign+ect.

I've always been interested in webdesign; like most people I started at about 10~11ish. I have a history with Geocities/Yahoo and owned quite a few domains throughout the years. Unfortunately, the most stable ones by far are my famed, "8th Princess Network" (wind-charmer.net, namine.org, pacificdusk.org) -- The name of the network I refuse to change since I grew to love it beyond it's meaning (Namine from KH). The first inspiration for my interest in webdesign can be rooted from domains like Lalaland.nu and Chiharu.nu.

The real hobby in my design always, always incorporates some sort of blending. While designing something often times exhausts me, the fun in all of it is the manipulation and blending! This is most displayed on my domain and in my pairings sites. Blending, mixing, manipulation and I adore creating stories (through pictures and imagery - I use idols and mixing random artwork most of the time to shake things up). It's scary, I know. The idea can get redundant real fast, but I keep trying. Hey, If I can fool you into thinking the two are looking at eachother (in love with eachother, hate eachother, established a relationship), then I know I'm doing alright♥ I spend more time blending than making actual websites, lol. My "portfolio" is high voltage and heavy duty, it's not safe for crazy bishounen (real life bishounen) fangirls. XD; As seen in the third blend, Takahashi Ai and Shirota Yuu.

I AM YOUR LAST MINUTE HERO. (Site title info) I don't know if this is the most accurate way to describe myself through song, but I really have taken a serious liking to it. I am a pretty "last minute" person in general and have a tendency to be a really ambitious person in general; I just really like the line: "I'll make and show you a story that's better than yesterday's without a flashy costume" because it really touches something inside. Sounds really corny and stupid, I know. Been told I have no hesitation in trying weird things, so I guess there's a little truth in it. I love mihimaru GT, forreal♥
